HOERBIGER strengthens its offering for safety and explosion protection

HOERBIGER, a global technology company headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, is acquiring the BICERA Explosion Relief Valve product line from Penn-Troy Manufacturing Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of engine explosion protection and wastewater valves. The acquisition will strengthen HOERBIGER's safety and explosion protection portfolio within its Safety Business Unit, enhancing its global offering.

Penn-Troy, a leading U.S. Manufacturer of engine explosion protection and wastewater valves, is selling its BICERA Explosion Relief Valve product line to the HOERBIGER Group, which will take over all existing customer relationships, IP and brand, as well as the product development and all production (manufacturing).

Since 1959, more than 350,000 BICERA valves, in hundreds of designs and sizes, have been deployed worldwide to save lives and protect property. Most recently, the new BICERA Sigma Explosion Relief Valve was introduced, offering a smaller, lighter solution for explosion relief. and an excellent platform for protecting hydrogen fuel applications.

With the addition of the BICERA Explosion Relief Valve product line, HOERBIGER will expand its existing leadership position for engine protection from EMEA and Asia to the U.S. market. HOERBIGER will now also be able to offer its long-standing customers additional performance-defining components, particularly in the hydrogen sector, and to better serve global engine manufacturers in the rapidly evolving marine, energy, and transportation markets.
